The adverbs describe how, where, or when an action took place. They are derived from adjectives, nouns, verbs, pronouns, numerals or other adverbs. The good news is that adverbs do not have gender, case, or number.
Most of the adverbs are adverbs of quality and manner which are derived from adjectives and are formed by replacing the ending of an adjective with "о". If the stem of adjective ends on consonants "-ж", "-ч", "-ш" or "-щ", then the ending is replaced with "e" .
пові́льний + о = по́ві́льно (slow - slowly)
швидки́й + о = шви́дко (fast [adj] - fast [adv], quick - quickly)
рішучий + е = рішу́че (decisive - decisively)
Examples:
пові́льний та́нець - slow dance
він чита́є пові́льно - he reads slowly
швидки́й результа́т - fast result
результа́т прихо́дить шви́дко - the result comes fast (quickly)
