Ukrainian verbs have three moods: indicative (ді́йсний), conditional (умо́вний) and imperative (наказо́вий).
- Indicative mood expresses factual statements, opinions or questions;
- Conditional mood expresses desired actions or hypothetical situations. The conditional mood is formed by the past tense of the verb with the particle "б (би)", which usually follows the verb;
- Imperative mood: expresses command, prohibition or advice.

Examples with conditional mood
Я хоті́в би купи́ти цю кни́гу. - I would like to buy this book.
Я хоті́ла б прода́ти цю кни́гу. - I would like to sell this book.
Він би сказа́в, якби́ знав. - He would tell if he knew.
Вона́ прийшла́ б, якби́ він запроси́в її́. - She would come if he invited her.
Якби́ вони́ мене́ попроси́ли, я б їм допомі́г. - If they had asked me, I would have helped them.
There are 2 types of endings in imperative mood.
1. Examples with endings "и / імо / іте" in the imperative mood:
